NightSparks comes to Coors Field
NightSparks is a new evening event on Thursday, April 28, at 6 p.m. to benefit LifeSpark Cancer Resources. The event will take place at Coors Field on the exclusive club level overlooking the ball field. Enjoy an evening of dancing, dinner, cash bar, silent and live auctions. Live entertainment is provided by The CopperTones, a division of the Nacho Men. The CopperTones, the alter ego act of The Nacho Men, performs and eclectic mix of music including classic rock, disco, top 40, Motown funk, and swing.
“This is an exciting event and it will raise funds for the LifeSpark program.” said Executive Director Sandy Priester. “In the past seven years, we have served nearly 800 individuals with cancer and their caregivers, and provided over 7000 hours of Reiki and Healing Touch sessions. We recently expanded into Colorado Springs and Longmont, and want to provide services to as many people in Colorado living with cancer as possible.” Priester stated that “funds from this event will support direct care to individuals with cancer. “
LifeSpark Cancer Resources, a non-profit organization, provides Reiki and Healing Touch for individuals with cancer. These therapies can provide relief from many side-effects of cancer treatment including fatigue, pain, and nausea, while also supporting a sense of peace and well-being.
Tracy Maxwell received LifeSpark sessions in 2010. “LifeSpark was a Godsend. After an eight-hour day in the infusion center with needles stuck in my arm and chemicals working their way through my body, just being able to receive energy work was a tremendous relief. I could just BE, and allow myself to be taken care of. The bone pain, neuropathy (tingling in the fingers and toes), lethargy, and even the fear, were all soothed away by the gentle healing I received.”
LifeSpark currently partners with Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, as well as Denver Health Medical Center, and several local churches to provide the sessions.
Tickets: $75 each, $140 for two, $65 for young professionals 40 and under. Seating is limited.
