Reiki and Healing Touch volunteers wanted

Denver-based LifeSpark Cancer Resources is planning to expand services into Colorado Springs. LifeSpark, a non-profit organization, provides weekly energy therapy sessions for individuals with cancer. Sessions can provide relief from many side-effects of cancer treatment including fatigue, pain, nausea, and depression. The program will be hosted at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center in Colorado Springs. LifeSpark is seeking Reiki and Healing Touch volunteers to be active in this program.
Two community meetings will be held to introduce the program, answer questions, and build support. Reiki and Healing Touch providers are invited as well as anyone interested in this program.

Dates: Tuesday, August 31, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
           Tuesday September 28, 6:30 -8 p.m.
Location: Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, 3027 North Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.

Please attend and learn:
• How energy therapies can be beneficial to individuals with cancer
• How you can volunteer and make a difference for someone with cancer
• How to participate in a Reiki and Healing Touch study and help build the evidence

LifeSpark has been providing energy therapies for individuals with cancer in the Denver area for five years. The organization currently works with two Denver-area Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, as well as Denver Health Medical Center, and Foothills Hospital's Tebo Cancer Center in Boulder. Sessions are also held in area churches. Colorado Springs will be the organization’s first location outside the metro-Denver area.
