  • Offered public education at numerous events
    • Denver Health Spa for Caregivers Day: Provided free mini-sessions
    • Denver Health Spa Day for patients and family: Provided free mini-sessions
    • Unity Church Wellness Fair: Staffed a LifeSpark booth
    • 9 Health Fair: Medical review panel accepted LifeSpark for Interactive Educational Centers
    • 9 Health Fair: Staffed a LifeSpark Interactive Educational Center at three Fair locations
    • CURE Day of Caring: Staffed a LifeSpark booth
    • Aurora/Castle Rock Cancer Support Group: Gave a presentation about Reiki and LifeSpark
    • Touching Lives mini-events: Hosted 12 free educational events for small audiences  
  • Launched a program for indigent, homeless, and Spanish speakers with cancer
    • Translated materials into Spanish
    • Trained volunteers providers in cultural competency
    • Hired a bi-lingual Program Navigator to work with this population
  • Implemented a in-house study of program outcomes of Reiki and Healing Touch
    • Using the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI) and FACIT research surveys

    • Produced 8-minute video to inform and educate the public about LifeSpark

    • Held two New Provider Seminars
    • Trained 14 new Reiki and Healing Touch providers for service in LifeSpark
    • Trained teams from Miami, Florida and Minneapolis, Minnesota on setting up
      their own program
  • Continued support and professional development for volunteer providers
    • Monthly Growth and Connections meetings with professional development  
               content and speakers
    • Held four "local" Growth and Connections meetings at locations near facilities
    • Shifted from a Mentor model to a Coach model for provider support
    • Created a method for volunteers to log session hours on-line
    • Created an on-line calendar for easy scheduling of sessions at the facilities
  • New Fundraising Strategy launched
    • Touching Tomorrow fundraising breakfast held December 12
    • Event attended by 160 people
    • Launched Touching Lives Circle, a multi-year giving society
